Terms & Conditions

Plunge Wellness Waiver & Terms and Conditions

By purchasing this pass or any service from Plunge Wellness and reading these terms and conditions, I acknowledge and agree to the following Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, and Assumption of Risk Agreement.

I am submitting this release voluntarily and of my own free will. I confirm that I have no physical or emotional conditions, nor any history thereof, that will impair my ability to safely use the facilities at Plunge Wellness.

I understand that it is my responsibility to assess any risks associated with using the facility and services at Plunge Wellness. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for determining my ability to participate in hot/cold circuits without risk of harm to myself. I understand and expressly assume all risks and responsibilities associated with my use of the facility, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage or destruction

  • Death, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract, or any other cause

I irrevocably release and waive any claims that I now have or may have in the future against Plunge Wellness, its owners, members, officers, employees, agents, successors, and assigns. This release applies to any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising from my participation in services offered by Plunge Wellness.

I also understand that I am liable for any damages, deterioration, or loss of the facility, its systems, or contents caused by my use of the facility.

Please note that you must be 19+ to attend any sessions.

Health & Safety Contraindications

Before using a hot/cold circuit, it is important to recognize potential contraindications. Plunge Wellness does not recommend participation if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy

  • Recent (acute) joint injury – should not be heated for the first 48 hours after an injury or until swelling subsides

  • Severe allergies to salt or cedar wood

  • Hemophilia or any condition that predisposes you to hemorrhage/bleeding

  • Any disease associated with reduced ability to sweat

  • Certain prescription medications that are affected by elevated body temperature (e.g., diuretics, barbiturates, beta-blockers, or antihistamines)

  • Cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension/hypotension, congestive heart failure, or impaired coronary circulation

  • Neurological disorders that affect the body’s ability to regulate heat

  • A predisposition to stroke, heat exhaustion, or frostbite

  • For the elderly: The ability to regulate core body temperature decreases with age. Individuals over 65 should exercise extreme caution in hot and cold environments.

  • For those under the influence of alcohol: It is not advisable to attempt to "sweat out" a hangover. Alcohol decreases judgment and can increase heart rate, which may be further heightened by heat stress.

Consult a physician before using Plunge Wellness if you are on medications that impact blood pressure, circulation, or temperature regulation.

Facility Hazards & Guidelines

Plunge Wellness is an indoor facility with an electric sauna and ice-cold tubs. Please be aware of the following hazards:

  • Smoke and fire risks from sauna heating elements

  • Hot and uncovered surfaces in the sauna

  • 0-degree water, which may cause nervous system shock

  • Bugs and allergens, including wasps, bees, ants, spiders, and pollen

  • Flooring not designed for bare feet (foot protection is required except in the lounge, changing room, sauna, and cold tubs)

Do NOT enter Plunge Wellness if you:

  • Have pre-existing nervous system or heart conditions

  • Are predisposed to stroke or heat exhaustion

  • Are at risk for frostbite

  • Have a severe allergy to insects that may cause anaphylactic shock

  • Are under 19 years old or over 65 years old

Lost & Found Policy
Plunge Wellness is not responsible for any personal items that are lost, left behind, or stolen on the premises. It is your responsibility to ensure all personal belongings are taken with you at the end of your session. Any items left behind will be held for up to 7 days. After this time, unclaimed items will be donated or discarded.

Guidelines for Safe Use

While you are responsible for managing your own limits, we recommend the following:

  • Do not enter the sauna if it exceeds 95°C

  • Limit sauna sessions to 15 minutes

  • Consume at least 1L of water per hot-cold cycle

  • Do not stay in the cold tub for more than 2 minutes (8 minutes max during guided sessions)

  • Do not submerge yourself in freezing water below 0°C

  • Always shower before transitioning from the sauna to the cold tub

  • Gradually warm up or cool down before starting another cycle

Membership & Session Policies

Membership Commitment

All memberships have at least a 2 billing cycle commitment. Your billing cycle is 28 days, meaning you agree to pay for at least 2 billing cycles before you can cancel or freeze your membership. If you do not want a commitment, punch passes and drop-ins are a better fit. These options are priced higher because they come with the luxury of added flexibility.

Membership Cancellation Policy

Members must provide 30 days' notice via email to info@plungewellness.ca to cancel or freeze their membership if eligible.

No-Show & Cancellation Policy

To ensure fair access for all clients, we enforce the following policies:

Cancelation Notice:

  • At least 5 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session without penalty.

  • Cancellations made within 5 hours of the session will be charged a $10 fee regardless of the reason. No refunds or credit replacements will be provided.

No-Show Policy:

  • If you fail to attend a session, it will be considered a no-show.

  • No-show fee: $20 and forfeiture of prepaid services. Lost credits will not be reinstated.

Waitlist Policy

By joining the waitlist, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Joining the waitlist signifies agreement to all terms and conditions outlined in this waiver.

  • If a space becomes available, waitlisted individuals may be added to the session 30-60 minutes before the session start time.

  • If I can no longer attend a session for which I am on the waitlist, I am responsible for removing myself from the waitlist to avoid being added automatically.

  • It is my responsibility to check my waitlist status. Plunge Wellness is not responsible for notifying me if I have been moved from the waitlist into a session.

  • Failure to attend a session after being added from the waitlist will be considered a missed appointment, subject to the no-show policy outlined above.

Respect for Our Policies

We are a small business. Please respect our policies and do not ask us to amend them for you. If we made exceptions for everyone who broke the terms and conditions, we would be out of business.
